If you have never sat for a full set and you are not sure where to start, ask for dip powder. It is the most forgiving of a busy week — tougher than gel, no lamp, and it comes off clean instead of taking your nail with it. Save Gel-X for when you want the length.

What is the difference between gel, dip powder, and acrylic?
Gel is colour cured under a lamp on your own nails — glossy, two to three weeks. Dip powder is harder wearing and needs no lamp, which makes it the choice for hands that work. Acrylic and Gel-X add length and sculpted shape, with acrylic the strongest of the two.
How long does a manicure take at the Rome studio?
Plan on about 45 minutes for a classic or gel manicure, and 75 to 90 minutes for a full set with extensions or hand-painted art. If you are on a clock, tell us when you sit down and we will plan the set around it.
Do you take walk-ins for manicures in Rome?
Yes — walk-ins and appointments are both welcome at 715 Turner McCall Blvd NE. Saturdays fill up, so it is worth calling (706) 237-7345 ahead if you want a specific hour or a full set.
Do you do hand-painted nail art?
Yes, and it is what the Rome studio is known for. Nail design starts at $5 a nail and rises with detail. Bring a reference photo if you have one — the artist will tell you honestly what will hold up on your nail length before starting.
